Top Ten Video Games of All Time (MachNerd Edition)

I’m not really getting the opportunity to post much just now due to computer malfunctions (my Girlfriend’s iBook is currently away getting a replacement hard-disk fitted and my desktop is refusing to connect to the internet, so we’ve got one internet capable computer between us), so I thought I’d do something a bit different to show that I’m still alive, so here’s my take on the Top Ten Video Games.

10. SimCity 2000 (PC) – SimCity 2000 is one of the best Sim games ever made. I still think that it’s more playable them many of Will Wright’s subsequent games. The Construction Kit for it was a dammed good (if very buggy) modding tool for it as well, which gave me my first and only shot thus far of modding a game.

9. Colonization (DOS) – The bastard child of the first Civilization game, Colonization lets you control one of four European powers settling America. It had it’s flaws, mainly because it was very inflexible, unlike the Civ games, but it’s the game that turned me into a gamer and the only DOS game which I still regular play. I’m hoping that this or Alpha Centuari receive Sid’s magic remake touch next.
